POLITICO: Loeb’s Council Still Has No Meaningful Government Data
Ilan Greenberg’s POLITICO Magazine feature on Avi Loeb’s UAP Science Advisory Council: months in, “we’ve gotten nothing.” Loeb met Aaron Lukas at ODNI in late August; a council member who attended said the tenor of that meeting suggested data might finally move. Loeb told Greenberg the agencies may be “baffled by the data” – “or it could be they are using me.” He gives the council until the end of the calendar year. White House Misses Deadline on Coulthart Shootdown Questions
Christopher Sharp at Liberation Times asked the White House whether President Trump has authorized U.S. forces to shoot down UAP, and whether there was an operation to lure objects. The press office asked for a deadline; Sharp set 5 p.m. ET Friday, September 25. No answer after it passed. The Department of War, asked about Ross Coulthart’s White Sands / Juárez intercept claims, said: “We refer you to the White House regarding any orders, directives, or authorization issues by President Trump.” Deputy Press Secretary Joel Valdez separately said a records review found no footage of an alleged 100-foot triangle over a Colorado base (file numbers IRR1669S015524 and IRR1669S005024). Rounds on Langley: “I Can’t Talk About That Right Now”
Asked whether China shut Langley Air Force Base for 17 days in 2023 and forced F-22s to move, Sen. Mike Rounds told Ask a Pol: “I can’t talk about that right now.” On whether the United States has that under control: adversaries “are very good at taking advantage of our freedoms,” which is why he has a bill to keep China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea from buying land near sensitive sites. AARO FOIA Names Workshop Speakers and a Pentagon Meeting With Uruguay
AARO located 89 pages on its August 2025 invitation-only UAP workshop and withheld 19 in full. The released working agenda puts the meeting at Associated Universities, Inc. in Vienna, Virginia, and names Jon Kosloski, Robert Powell, Galileo postdoc Laura Domine, Matthew Szydagis, NUFORC’s Christian Stepien, and others the public white paper left anonymous. Emails show a planned August 4 Pentagon briefing with Uruguay’s CRIDOVNI, lunch with Kosloski and CTO Josh Reiter, and an internal plan for a follow-on data workshop in early 2026 – before the first event had even convened. Garcia: Secrets Task Force Decisions Wait Until After November
House Oversight ranking member Robert Garcia told Ask a Pol he will not say what happens to Luna’s Secrets Task Force – or chatter about a select UFO committee – until Democrats know the midterms. “We want to win first.” Asked about a select committee after six PURSUE drops: “I think we’re not going to make any decisions until we know what happens after November.”

Navy Releases Scott Bray’s UAP Emails – 302 Pages Withheld Entirely
The Navy closed a May 24, 2022 Black Vault FOIA this week. Case DON-NAVY-2022-008648 sought emails to, from, copied, or blind-copied to Scott W. Bray – then Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence – containing UAP, UAPTF, UFO, AATIP, or AAWSAP. The September 23 response: 1,321 pages located, 302 withheld in full, 1,019 released with redactions. The files show Jay Stratton “working directly for Scott Bray” on the UAP Task Force, a week of classified Hill briefs in September 2020, and a public-affairs fight over reporters saying the Task Force was “investigating aliens.” Full article →

Stratton’s Out of the Shadows Is Going to Television
Terence Winter (The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire) and Dan Farah (The Age of Disclosure) are developing a series from former UAP Task Force director Jay Stratton’s memoir Out of the Shadows, due October 13 from William Morrow. No network, cast, or date yet. Stratton already told PhenomeCon that Pentagon pre-publication review left the UAP spine of the book intact. Galileo Project: First Las Vegas Triangulation, No Anomalous Tracks That Week
Avi Loeb posted first results from the Galileo observatories in Las Vegas (Sphere, Hideout, Wildhorse). For the week of May 24–30, 2026, 365 objects solved from all three sites split into two groups: aircraft-like tracks at 116–298 m/s (284 confirmed on ADS-B, 17 unidentified with the same kinematics) and 64 slow objects later identified as small clouds. Distance error versus ADS-B aircraft was within 5% for every three-site aircraft solution. “No objects beyond ordinary natural and human-made ones have been identified during the analyzed week.” Galileo article →

Burchett: Miller Called Him at Home – People Inside the Departments Are Blocking Files
Rep. Tim Burchett told Benny Johnson that White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller phoned him at home – “which was unusual” – about UAP file releases. Burchett’s account of Miller: there are “some people that are blocking this in these departments,” and “I feel like they’re some very bad people for whatever reason.” Burchett framed that as the same “sewer” he has called the deep state. Miller has not issued a public statement on the call. In July Burchett already told Ask a Pol that Miller was “running into problems” with blockers; in September he said Miller had assigned people to the portfolio.

Grusch FOIA: DOJ Files for Summary Judgment
On the date the court set for opening briefs, the Department of Justice filed a motion for summary judgment in Grusch v. Department of Defense (E.D. Va. No. 1:26-cv-607). If granted, the motion would end the FOIA case. The August status report had already narrowed the fight to whether DoD ran a legally adequate search; Grusch is not challenging the May 18 redactions. The suit seeks Senior Intelligence Oversight Official records on any 2023 unauthorized-disclosure complaint involving Grusch or UAP/UFO terms. Capitol Steps article →
