David Grusch is back on camera – and what he’s saying has sharpened.
In a sit-down with Bret Baier on Fox News, the former intelligence officer who first went public in 2023 with claims of a secret U.S. government UAP recovery program made his most direct statements yet about what the current president knows, what Grusch himself has seen, and who ran the programs for decades.
The interview comes as the Trump administration has ordered the Pentagon to begin releasing UAP files and Congress pursues a new whistleblower behind closed doors.
”Very Well Informed”
Baier asked Grusch directly whether Trump knows about the UAP programs and whether he’s open to transparency. Grusch was careful but clear.
“Certainly the current president is very knowledgeable on this subject and I trust his leadership on it. I think he’s assembled a team cabinet and I really believe if Trump wants to be the greatest president and the most consequential leader likely in world history, he certainly has the knowledge, the capabilities and understanding of some of these sensitive government transparency issues.”
When Baier pressed, Grusch pulled back slightly:
“He certainly is very well informed on this issue. I’ll leave it at that. I don’t want to get ahead of what the president might want to reveal personally.”
The implication is that Grusch believes Trump has been briefed on the substance – not just the politics – of the UAP question, and that disclosure is a live decision, not a theoretical one.
Recovered Vehicles, Physical Proof, Photos
The most striking exchange came when Baier asked Grusch to cut through the noise: does the U.S. government know about non-human beings?
“That seems to be the case. I don’t like to characterize necessarily where they came from. They’re definitely some kind of non-human sentience, but it is true. Believe it or not, we’ve recovered the vehicles and we actually have physical proof.”
Grusch went further, confirming his own access:
“I was actually partially cleared into some of those activities. It was beyond oral testimony provided to me. I actually had partial access to the data and actually read the intelligence reports resulting from those programs.”
Baier asked: “With your own eyes. You saw it.”
“Yes.”
When Baier brought up the recovery of non-human remains – something Grusch had referenced in his 2023 congressional testimony – Grusch confirmed he had seen photographic evidence.
“It is a very uncomfortable – even for me now as somebody who’s seen it, experienced it – even talking about it because it’s so outside a normal person’s worldview to understand that there is this biological sentience that have piloted these crafts that don’t necessarily look 100% like you and I.”
Baier asked if there were pictures.
“There were. Yes, there were.”
The Cheney Connection
In a separate clip from a Megyn Kelly SiriusXM interview, Grusch named former Vice President Dick Cheney as the closest thing these programs had to central leadership.
“The self-licking ice cream cone, unaccountable, everybody owns a piece, nobody owns the outcome, and there’s not really a mob boss. The closest person we got that I was aware of was unfortunately now deceased Vice President Dick Cheney. Darth Vader himself. Not shocking that he was involved in this.”
Grusch said that when Cheney left office in 2009, it was “the last time that these activities really had central leadership.” Since then, the programs have operated in a fragmented, unaccountable structure – what Grusch has previously described as a web of compartmented projects spread across military and contractor organizations with no single authority.
Both Parties Are Guilty
Grusch was blunt about the bipartisan nature of the cover-up. He described “game of thrones activity with multiple factions of the deep state” and said both Republicans and Democrats have played roles in keeping the programs hidden.
“Unfortunately this subject has been a victim of a lot of domestic information operations. There’s certainly been this game of thrones activity with multiple factions of the deep state in a bipartisan manner. The Republicans and the Democrats are both guilty.”
He added that even the Obama administration took “strategic actions” around the topic tied to a presidential candidate – though he didn’t elaborate further.
Grusch also said he was threatened for coming forward:
“I was physically threatened even before I sent in my intelligence community inspector general report under the previous administration. I actually had to go and seek legal protection because I was literally in fear both professionally and in my personal life.”
An Arms Race Nobody Talks About
Baier asked whether other governments know what the U.S. knows. Grusch confirmed they do – and that he’s seen the intelligence to prove it.
“They have their own programs. Like I said two and a half years ago, we have been in an arms race with our peer competitors – namely Russia and China – and they have their own programs in this regard. I was actually able to view a body of intelligence that discussed adversarial programs.”
This echoes what Elizondo told Glenn Beck about China and Russia running parallel UAP research – and the risk of the U.S. falling behind.
What It Adds Up To
Grusch has now said, across multiple interviews, that:
- The U.S. has recovered non-human vehicles and has physical proof
- He personally read intelligence reports and saw photographs of non-human biological remains
- The current president is “very well informed” on the subject
- Dick Cheney was the last person to centrally oversee the programs
- Both parties have participated in keeping the programs secret
- Russia and China have their own recovery and research programs
- He was physically threatened for filing his inspector general report
None of these claims have been independently verified through declassified evidence. But Grusch made them under oath in 2023, and he’s now making them again – more specifically and more confidently – on national television, at a moment when the executive branch has formally directed disclosure to begin.
The distance between what Grusch is saying and what the government is willing to confirm publicly remains wide. But it’s narrower than it was a year ago.
