Black Triangle Filmed South of Carrollton, GA From Commercial Flight

What Happened

On Monday, August 3, 2026, at approximately 6:40 PM CDT, a passenger on a commercial flight from Jackson, Mississippi, to Atlanta, Georgia, filmed a large, dark triangular object while seated on the right side of the aircraft looking south.

According to the witness account that accompanied the video, the flight was about 37 minutes underway and roughly 16 minutes from landing – placing the object near the Alabama / Georgia state line, approximately 5 miles south of Carrollton, GA. The witness estimated the object was 5 to 8 miles away and moving very slowly relative to the cloud deck.

The witness recorded on an iPhone at 3× zoom and said the clip ends because the aircraft flew past the object and the passenger-window angle cut the line of sight – not because the object disappeared on camera. The hosted video is about 49 seconds. Amplifiers (including Dr. Dan / @UAPDr) describe a second passenger watching and nearly eight minutes of observation; that longer window is a claimed watch time, not the length of the circulated file.

The Footage

The circulated video shows a dark, solid silhouette high above bright daytime cumulus – no visible wings, engines, lights, or contrail in the frames examined. Digital zoom and distance make fine structure hard to resolve; the outline reads as triangular / delta-shaped against clear blue sky.

Witness Account

“On Monday, August 3, at exactly 6:40 PM CDT, I captured this footage of a massive, dark triangular object while onboard my flight from Jackson, MS, to Atlanta, GA. Sitting on the right side of the aircraft looking South, we were 37 minutes into the flight and roughly 16 minutes from landing, placing the object near the AL/GA state line (approximately 5 miles south of Carrollton, GA). The object was an estimated 5 to 8 miles away and appeared to be moving very slowly relative to the cloud deck below. This was recorded on an iPhone at 3x zoom—which accounts for the visible digital noise in the footage—but the rigid geometric shape and lack of conventional aviation features were strikingly clear to the naked eye. I’m always annoyed how short these ufo videos often are, but the recording only ends because our aircraft flew past the object, and the increasingly shallow viewing angle through the passenger window eventually cut off my line of sight.”
