Pentagon Moves to Buy Access to North America’s Largest Private UFO Archive
AARO posted a sole-source intent to award a multi-year data subscription to David Marler’s National Unidentified Flying Object Historic Records Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The July 31 Washington Headquarters Services notice, NUFOHRC_20260731, says the nonprofit holds hundreds of thousands of unique case files – including APRO and J. Allen Hynek papers – that exist in no other repository, and that AARO needs them for pre-1990 analysis. A War Department official repeated that unique-source claim to DefenseScoop. Cost undisclosed. Luna Shows an FBI UAP Coin – and Says Grusch Is Talking to the White House
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna told Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo that David Grusch is in direct talks with the White House about an NDA waiver, case by case, not a blanket lift. She then produced a challenge coin from an FBI unit she called SIG – Special Investigations Group. The coin itself reads Special Investigative Group, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Ignotum Investigantes; the reverse says Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena. Luna said a Stephen Miller-led White House group works with her task force, the Pentagon, and AARO, that briefings have been extensive, and that recent file rollouts came largely from those meetings. Knapp: A Live Shoot-Down Order Would Break How the Military Treats Unknowns
George Knapp, answering questions about Coulthart’s White Sands intercept reporting, said he has no beef with Ross’s piece and that it sounds like it came from multiple sources. His doubts sit elsewhere: President Trump has been briefed but has not shown much personal enthusiasm or dug into the weeds; an order to shoot down orbs or unknowns is a serious step with strict protocols; nobody shot down the objects that overflew Langley for 17 nights; and Navy crews who meet unknowns far at sea generally do not fire unless there is a clear threat. That does not disprove Coulthart’s sourcing. It is a veteran reporter putting the claim next to how the services usually behave.

Coulthart: A Serving UK Inspector Has Logged 250 Police UFO Accounts
Ross Coulthart’s latest Reality Check is Roy Teague, a serving West Midlands Police inspector and former soldier whose book Close Encounters of the Police Kind collects UAP accounts from more than 250 serving and retired British officers. Teague says he tries to knock cases down first – flares, meteors, aircraft – and that he left out stories that failed checks, including AI images and people who lied about rank. He argues police are trained to observe and to testify, which is why the ridicule around the subject has kept most of these reports in a drawer. All but nine of the officers who came to him agreed to be named. The book was already out in the UK this summer; the NewsNation interview is the U.S. amplification.
